Please print out and practise three times per week at home. We will practise every Friday at school and plot your progress on a chart. It's amazing how quickly you progress at school, when you practise at home.
Hi Mr. Makani, are those basic facts all applied every Friday (e.g. are those the ones we are expecting to train all of them for next week), or is there a progression per term, so we can concentrate on them?
Hi Wagner, next Friday I will start all the children on the first sheet with no time limit just to see what they know. We will do the same every week. After a few weeks they will learn which sheet they are on. They can choose to learn a set number of basic facts a week to gradually master that level and move on or they may be motivated to move through the levels quickly and learn as many as they can. As long as they are seeing improvement on whatever set they are working on. Once the children get used to doing a test then I will introduce a time limit. This is a system we will implement over time. Thanks for your question, I'm sure other parents had the same query.
